Getting Gordon to speak to us...
News

I've been trying to get the government to address us for months - and to be allowed to discuss the issue regarding medicinal cannabis prohibition. Today, I managed to speak to a HUMAN BEING in Downing St, rather than a robotic clone. Do you want to know how to do it? Do you have something to say to Gordon Browns office? Then read on... I'll show you how. Gordon said that he will listen to the public.... lets us see if this is the case.

Spent the last week without meds and assumed I was coping OK. Good friends have been furiously searching for me but could only find gritweed. Fortunately, this still had most of it's medicine and seems to be contaminated only with sand. No adverse side effects to report this morning and the feeling of a slowly solidifying, damp bag of cement has mostly gone.

Willing to fight to the death to LEGALISE CANNABIS
News

Monday, 30 July 2007
In February 2003 I had been suffering from numbness throughout the left side of my body for two years. The muscles in my face drooped which really effected my confidence. I had been to the doctor several times over a two year period complaining about constant colds, viruses and numbness and this was put down to stress and displayed no concern. The fact that no answers were given to me or possible causes investigated caused me so much stress that my illness accelerated to a point where I collapsed in agony at 2AM one very cold and dark morning. I was contracting away from home and was sure I was dying as I lay on the floor waiting for family to come and rescue me...

Why cannabis is illegal.
News

Monday, 30 July 2007

There are many reasons why cannabis is illegal. However, the truthful reasons why cannabis is illegal, and why governments spend an absolute fortune fighting this "war on marijuana" are not the same reasons that you hear on the news.

Cannabis has been illegal for recreational use in the UK since 1928, when the drug was included in the Dangerous Drugs Act of the same year. Its inclusion into the act was due to a handful of men who were responsible for the 1916 and 1923/4 and 1928 Geneva Opiates Conventions.

However, the true story as to why cannabis is illegal is a much bigger story, and you have to look towards the the United States of America to discover this story...

It is all about money and oil.

The truth about cannabis and psychosis
News
Written by Stuart Wyatt
Friday, 27 July 2007

We have all seen or heard by now the recent news stories about cannabis being linked to an alarming increase in psychosis. I would like to reveal the truth about the situation, using the governments' own statistics.

The government spin that we are seeing regarding cannabis just proves once more that Labour has not changed its tactics one bit. They do not care for truth - they only care to spin lies to meet their own agenda. Until they can provide accurate and unambigiuous figures to back up their claims, we cannot even take their claims with a pinch of salt.

Getting answers from the government
News

 Dear Mr Brown,

As I said in the faxes that I sent to your Downing Street Office today:

We are not going away!
We will not be ignored!
Nor will we continue to suffer in silence!

We demand to seek an audience with you, and for you and your advisors to listen to us. The current persecution of medicinal cannabis users in this country is appaling. Your government has been literally killing people.

I will add to this thread all attempts that Humedi members have made to contact you.

Please consider any correspondence between us to be considered open letters, and they will be released immediately to  the public domain for all to see. Transparency is what New Labour was meant to be about. We will tell the country our story, giving facts, not fiction. Truth, not spin. And if you thought that by hiding behind closed doors and telephone operators would make me go away, then I am sorry to inform you that you were very mistaken.

[UPDATED Sunday 22/7

[This form of activism is currently on hold, whilst the country copes with the serious floods. The "Smoke-in" has also been postponed]

Wednesday, 18 July 2007

This documentary was filmed in April by Zoe Jones and Mark Nicholls, and features Lezley Gibson (co-founder of THC4MS.org), cannabis granny Pat Tabram and also Humedi founder Stuart Wyatt. It is a powerful and emotional documentary, and tells a very different story to the one that was reported in the media.

Please take your time to watch this video, and to spread the news through whatever means you can. Thank you!

July Update: CHANGE OF FOCUS! BATTLE STATIONS!
News
Written by Stuart Wyatt
Sunday, 15 July 2007

The humedi site has been in a state of semi-limbo for the past couple of months. This was due to my personal life collapsing around me: I ended up homeless, living in a hostel, and having to fight a battle with the benefits agency, NHS and the local council. My health declined to a level where I was virtually unable to leave the hostel, was using mobility scooters when I was able to, and was totally cut off from the internet. I've since won many of my battles (I now have a council flat and DLA) and my health has improved to a level where I can be of use to Humedi, now that I am not dealing with the stress of what appeared at the time to be a proxy war waged against me.

I am now back, although things are going to change with Humedi. The battle lines have been drawn, and we are going full-charge ahead. The focus on medicinal distribution has now changed to that of all-out activism and lobbying. Please read further...
