Looking at our drug culture PDF Print E-mail

Stu has been nagging me to put down my medicinal use of cannabis, and I use it for many reasons.

Depression was the first thing I noted it was good for, not giving you depression, like alcohol, just getting rid of it. I also use cannabis for Alcoholism, and to relieve me from pain for two spinal fusions.

This is a little story how I got it, helps me heal a bit, by writing about it...

At the age of 10 years old , I walked into the drug culture and it hit me right in the face, so hard that I've never quite got over that education.yes I noted we had a drug culture before,( although I didn't term it in that way, going to the doctors, for various ailments including epilepsy, allowed me to even know the heavy sedated effects of phenobarbatone,

I'd even noticed the sugar and caffeine rushes from tea coffee and soft drinks, I'd seen my father crave for tobacco, so much that I went around the local

British legion on a dog end collection, to present to my slightly embarrassed and hard working miners face, that was mixed with a pride as he often reiterated that story to me in his later years.

I could see that drugs were important, as my mother had a barbiturate and speed habit, I'd noted, because of the arguments that occurred because of them,

I remember my mother falling asleep and finding a cigarette, burning her neck where she was so intoxicated from alcohol and barbs, that she felt no pain, and the only pain I felt was from not being able to wake her.

This time on the 3 rd day of November 1966, as I say at the age of 10 I was educated to the words of death by drug overdose.

Not much made sense for quite a few years ..
